Rock Hill Business and Community Association takes 3rd place at Renaissance Ceremony for their Category B Project
The Rock Hill Business and Community Association recently took 3rd place at the Sullivan Renaissance Awards Ceremony on Monday August 8th. The Association worked on a Category B project. Volunteers worked hard to create gardens at the Exit 109 entranceways into Rock Hill, along with adding a mural and fixing up the Rock Hill Service Center Barn. As a result the group won $5,000 to be used to reinvest back into the community for future beautification work! The Rock Hill Business and Community Association would like to thank the following businesses and organizations for their participation. Without you the project would not have been such a success! Dutch’s Tavern and Restaurant, VEO Gas Station, The Rock Hill Trading Post, Crossroads Insurance Agency, Dragon House Restaurant, Thompson Sanitation, Iroquois Springs, the Rock Hill Fire Department, Rieber and Sons Excavating, DM Landscaping, Artist Laurie Kilgore, Manza Family Farm, Monticello Greenhouse and the United Methodist Church. The group is very excited about our accomplishments and we are already planning upcoming projects! Overall, the gardens have helped to beautify Rock Hill, while bringing together a diverse group of individuals who worked together to better our community. If you are interested in joining the Rock Hill Business Community Association’s Renaissance Group please contact Melinda Meddaugh at 845-807-2034 or email melindak22@gmail.com. We are also specifically seeking volunteers for our fundraising committee, which plans to hold a fundraising event in Rock Hill sometime in October.
